As training and school demands increase, a young person must also learn the vital skill of time management. Our members at MGS have many opportunities during the year to develop both in training and at events like clinics, displays and even competitions.
Behaviour and school
Regular exposure physical activity in sports has shown to improve children's behaviour and academic marks. This is because regular physical activity allows students to focus on the task assigned. Participation in regular, organised sports has also been linked to discouraging harmful activities because young people who are consistently physically active are much less likely to engage in using tobacco, alcohol, or other drugs as they grow and mature.

Did you know doing gymnastics for one year increases the bone density of an athlete and stays with them for life?
This is because the running, jumping and landing activities in gym sports subjects the body to shock high forces(between 4 - 12 times body weight, depending on the skill and apparatus. These high forces allow the bones to strengthen. This shouldn't sound scary as it is absolutely vital for children to be exposed to this in their development years, especially females. This impact-based training, even over as short as one year can/will assist in prevention of osteoporosis (weakening of the bones)!
