External Competition Opportunities (March - November):
We believe in giving members opportunities to excel in sports and be a part of Maryborough’s long competitive gym sports history. Competitions are held year-round on a regional, state and national basis.

All other members only events as per handbook and club correspondence. Check our social media pages to see what events are coming up.
Since 2021, MGS has got back into hosting clinics. Coach Kelsey has worked extremely hard to provide opportunities for the Fraser Coast, Wide Bay and greater regions for the spirit of the sport. This has let our athletes reap the benefits of many highly accredited and experienced coaches from around QLD and given our club a great working relationship with many clubs, head coaches and programs.

In 2021 - we had 2 trampoline and 2 acrobatics clinics. This involved athletes and coaches from the Wide Bay and Brisbane areas. See some of the highlight videos here.

In 2022 - we turned our focus to gymnastics, having the insta famous Coach Redders present to our athletes.

We were even able to run an acrobatics judges course.
You can check out the videos on our Facebook video page.

In 2023 - We hosted 4 separate clinics over the year. These included: Acrobatics, trampoline, MAG and WAG / MAG.

In 2023, our athletes were also invited to the prestigious Rhythmic Future Champions training camp and the SEQ MAG development clinic.

We were even able to run an advanced Module 1 and WAG coach's course.

Look out for what 2024 will hold!
Twist and Flip Trampoline and Tumbling Clinic - Sunday July 7th.
Suitable for coaches and level 2 - 4 athletes. If you are interested, please contact us!

As they say, the more the merrier.
These clinics are generally extended to surrounding programs and clubs so other gymnasts and coaches can also improve their skills and knowledge.
Clubs are invited by email. We also advertise it on our social media pages and events where possible.

Clinics helps ensure that our coaches are among the best trained in the sporting industry. They also bring back ideas and new knowledge into the club to benefit our members.
On the other hand, the athletes come back with additional confidence and renewed motivation to work hard on their improving their skills.
If you want to be on the mailing list to receive invitations to future clinics, send us an email.
End of Year Display and Presentations
Held annually in late November/Early December! - Sat Dec 7th 2024

This is a time of the year where all classes and families get together to watch the athletes show off what they've learnt throughout the year to everyone. The end of year display isn't your average gymnastics routine, it adds makeup, costumes, music, dance and drama into the program too. Each level presents a demonstration that has been worked on throughout from the end of term 3 to term 4.

2022 - "Christmas Spectacular" theme. We also did the 2022 Fraser Coast Light Trail, where you could walk through and see some of the live displays of our classes by a few of the gymnasts. You can watch 8/8 the live streams on our Facebook page.

2023, as part of the 60th celebrations of trampoline and gymnastics in Maryborough, the club went above and beyond and did a modern gymnastics version of the classic Christmas tale - "The Nutcracker".

2024 - Alice in Wonderland - It was a full production bringing together all the gymnasts for a classic story with a gymnastics twist.
Presentations to follow
After the exciting performances, the results are awarded to the athletes who competed in during the end of year competition. Acknowledgement of participation for non-competitive / recreational classes, special awards and 5/10 year membership awards are also given out.
