Mid-Year Assessments (June, Term 2)
Maryborough GymSports holds midyear assessments for selected levels programs (WAG, MAG, TRAMP and TUMBLING) at the discretion of the coach. Should the coach indicate a child be ready in term 1 or 3, the coach will advise the parent and make a time for the levels test to occur.

End of Year Competition (November, Term 4)

Participants compete against teammates on the apparatus in their discipline of gymnastics with the routines, skills and passes they’ve been working on. This event also serves as a levels test for the foundation levels, to mark athletes against passing requirements. Competition dress standards, etiquette and procedures apply.

External Competition Opportunities (March-November):
MGS believes in giving members opportunities to excel in sports and be a part of Maryborough’s long competitive gym sports history. Competitions are held year-round on a regional, state, national and international basis.  The coach will make the decision of if an athlete is ready to compete and will provide a nomination form.

Levels Testing in Levels programs
Club athletes in Rhythmic Gymnastics (level 1 - 2), Trampoline Sports (level 1-4), Women's Artistic (level 1-3) and Men's Artistic Gymnastics (level 1-2) can be assessed in house or away at competitions. The must meet the required criteria and scores to pass into the next level. This is done a couple times a year at MGS, with other opportunities popping up for away competitions for eligible athletes.

Any athlete in the following levels MUST go to a sanctioned event and attain passing scores to be able to officially pass their Gymnastics Australia Level for:
Men's Artistic Gymnastics  and Rhythmic Gymnastics - Level 3+

Women's Artistic Gymnastics - Level 4+
Trampoline, Double Mini and Tumbling - Level 5+
Acrobats can be moved around levels from year to year, but to get their official year badge, they must attend a sanctioned competition and receive a passing score.
